SUMMARY:Rising Stars: Leonard Fu & Baron Fenwick
DESCRIPTION:Chinese/German violinist Leonard Fu (The Juilliard School\, Kro
 nberg Academy in Germany) and American pianist Baron Fenwick (2019 Sendai 
 Competition\, DMA candidate at The Juilliard School)  will perform a dyna
 mic program with works by Ravel\, Szymanowski\, Britten\, Elgar\, Chopin a
 nd original composition by the young violinist himself.\n\n[full_width][on
 e_half]\nLeonard Fu\nViolinist\n\nChinese-German violinist Leonard Fu is a
  dynamic and versatile artist who has performed across Europe\, Asia\, and
  the United States\, appearing with leading orchestras such as the Berlin 
 Philharmonic\, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen\, NDR Radio Philharmonic
  Orchestra\, Frankfurt Radio Symphony\, Frankfurt Chamber Philharmonic\, H
 amburger Sinfoniker\, and Allentown Symphony. An accomplished chamber musi
 cian\, Fu has shared the stage with Mitsuko Uchida\, Janine Jansen\, Amiha
 i Grosz\, Jens-Peter Maintz\, Laurence Lesser\, Kim Kashkashian\, Jörg Wi
 dmann\, and many others.\n\nA laureate of major international competitions
 \, Fu’s accolades include prizes at the Joseph Joachim\, Andrea Postacch
 ini\, Rodolfo Lipizer\, TONALi\, Ton &amp\; Erklärung\, and most recently
 \, First Prize at the Schadt International String Competition in 2022.\n\n
 Fu earned degrees from the New England Conservatory and The Juilliard Scho
 ol\, where he studied with Donald Weilerstein and Catherine Cho\, serving 
 as their teaching assistant. He is currently under the tutelage of Antje W
 eithaas at the prestigious Kronberg Academy in Germany\, supported by the 
 Gingko Foundation. Fu performs on the “Lorenzo Storioni\, Cremona\, 1781
 ” violin\, generously on loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben inst
 rument fund.\n\n\n\n[/one_half][one_half_last]\nBaron Fenwick\nPianist\n\n
 Baron Fenwick\, pianist\, is currently a student at The Juilliard School p
 ursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts\, and he received his Master’s and B
 achelor’s degrees from Mannes School of Music. Originally from North Car
 olina\, he lives in New York City where he maintains an active performance
  career. Among his recent collaborators include composers Matthew Aucoin\,
  Caroline Shaw\, Lowell Liebermann\, and Julia Wolfe\, and his debut CD wi
 th violinist Isabella Li Lao is currently in production by Naxos Music. Hi
 s performances have been greeted with acclaim in many venues including las
 t year in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium as a featured solo improviser
