 st\nArlen Hlusko\n\n\nHailed for her “sublime cello prowess” (Take Eff
 ect)\, “absorbing originality” (Gramophone)\, and “mesmerizing beaut
 y” (NY Music Daily)\, internationally acclaimed Canadian cellist ARLEN H
 LUSKO is a dynamic\, versatile artist who has performed extensively as sol
 oist and chamber musician across North &amp\; South Americas\, Asia\, and 
 Europe. She is “capable of playing with great delicacy but also fearless
 ness\; regardless of the character of the material\, she executes it with 
 authority and conviction […] and open-hearted expression is present thro
 ughout” (Textura). Arlen has performed solo recitals from Tippet Rise to
  Carnegie Hall to Toronto’s Summer Music in the Gardens to the Guangzhou
  Opera House and beyond\, and is the cellist of the Bang on a Can All-Star
 s sextet (extolled by the New York Times for “combining the power and pu
 nch of a rock band with the precision and clarity of a chamber ensemble”
 ). She regularly performs with ensembles including The Knights\, Dolce Suo
 no Ensemble\, and the Manhattan Chamber Players\; is a member of the Harry
  Chapin Band\; and recent alumna of the Curtis Institute of Music and Carn
 egie Hall’s Ensemble Connect. She is currently the Artist-in-Residence a
 t Grace Farms in New Canaan\, CT\, where she is performing regularly as bo
 th soloist and chamber musician\, as well as curating chamber music perfor
 mances and musical community experiences\, and directing the musical half 
 of their brand new Lecture-Concert series.\n\nInterested in a wide array o
 f music\, Arlen has collaborated closely with an immense variety of artist
 s including Jordi Savall\, Midori\, Meredith Monk\, Jacob Collier\, David 
 Byrne\, and Diplo\, and is a GRAMMY award winner for her collaboration wit
 h The Crossing\, as well as a laureate of several competitions. Arlen has 
 been featured on CBC’s “30 Under 30\,” and is a proud Larsen Artist.
  She has debuted with the Los Angeles Philharmonic\, BBC Concert Orchestra
 \, and the Calgary Philharmonic\, among others\, and has been a regular at
  chamber music festivals including Spoleto USA\, Tippet Rise\, Bay Chamber
  Concerts\, Rockport Music\, and Music from Angel Fire. Committed to using
  her music to connect with and serve her community\, Arlen founded and dir
 ects her own interactive chamber music concert series\, Philadelphia Perfo
 rmances for Autism\; directs a free monthly concert series (“Music Monda
 ys”) at Saint Charles Borromeo\; and is involved with numerous communiti
 es\, including Carnegie Hall’s “Musical Connections” at Sing Sing Co
