Hailed as “one of the most thoughtful and sensitive of British pianists” (The Times), Mishka Rushdie Momen will present a program that showcases keyboard music from the Tudor age, a time of political and religious change. The performance will include selections from Mishka’s acclaimed 2024 album, Reformation, with music by Byrd, Gibbons, Bull, and Sweelinck, alongside pieces by contemporary British composers Sir George Benjamin and Thomas Adès.

Pianist
Hailed as “one of the most thoughtful and sensitive of British pianists” (The Times), Mishka Rushdie Momen captivates audiences with her refined and expressive playing.
Recent and upcoming concerto highlights include debuts with The Royal Danish Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and Mannheim Chamber Orchestra.
Rushdie Momen’s recital highlights include performances at Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Lucerne Festival, Tonhalle Zurich, Wigmore Hall, Antwerp’s deSingel, Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and Leeds Piano Competition and, in the US, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Phillips Collection in Washington DC, New York’s 92Y, Carnegie Hall, Portland Piano and The Maestro Foundation in Santa Monica. Her 24/25 recitals include Wigmore Hall, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Aldeburgh Festival, and the re-opening festival of the Frick Collection in New York.
Equally at home as a chamber musician, Rushdie Momen’s chamber partners include Ian Bostridge, Mark Padmore, Joshua Bell, Midori, Angela Hewitt, Steven Isserlis, Timothy Ridout and Zlatomir Fung, with festival performances including Rheingau Festival, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, Oeiras International Piano Festival, Chamonix Vallée Classics, Hindsgavl, Chipping Campden, Trasimeno Festival, the new Casals Forum at Kronberg, and IMS Prussia Cove.
Rushdie Momen’s latest release Reformation (Hyperion, 2024) presents the works of William Byrd, John Bull, Orlando Gibbons and Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck, performed on the modern piano. The album was described in The Times’ selection of the best releases of 2024 as “a triumph”, as “quietly beguiling” (The Guardian), topped the Classical Charts in July 2024 and chosen to be as a Classic FM Discovery of the Week.
Mishka Rushdie Momen studied with Joan Havill and Imogen Cooper at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She also studied periodically with Richard Goode, and at the Kronberg Academy with Sir András Schiff, who has presented her in recital and orchestral dates across the USA and Europe.

Chinese/German violinist Leonard Fu (The Juilliard School, Kronberg Academy in Germany) and American pianist Baron Fenwick (2019 Sendai Competition, DMA candidate at The Juilliard School) will perform a dynamic program with works by Ravel, Szymanowski, Britten, Elgar, Chopin and original composition by the young violinist himself.

Violinist
Chinese-German violinist Leonard Fu is a dynamic and versatile artist who has performed across Europe, Asia, and the United States, appearing with leading orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Frankfurt Radio Symphony, Frankfurt Chamber Philharmonic, Hamburger Sinfoniker, and Allentown Symphony. An accomplished chamber musician, Fu has shared the stage with Mitsuko Uchida, Janine Jansen, Amihai Grosz, Jens-Peter Maintz, Laurence Lesser, Kim Kashkashian, Jörg Widmann, and many others.
A laureate of major international competitions, Fu’s accolades include prizes at the Joseph Joachim, Andrea Postacchini, Rodolfo Lipizer, TONALi, Ton & Erklärung, and most recently, First Prize at the Schadt International String Competition in 2022.
Fu earned degrees from the New England Conservatory and The Juilliard School, where he studied with Donald Weilerstein and Catherine Cho, serving as their teaching assistant. He is currently under the tutelage of Antje Weithaas at the prestigious Kronberg Academy in Germany, supported by the Gingko Foundation. Fu performs on the “Lorenzo Storioni, Cremona, 1781” violin, generously on loan from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben instrument fund.

American cellist Sterling Elliott, the 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant winner and a BBC Next-Generation Artist, returns to Millbrook this May for a special family event. It’s a perfect opportunity for young audiences to develop an appreciation for live music in a welcoming setting, sitting up close with Elliott as he shares insights into the cello.
This free family event is presented by Millbrook Music Salon in partnership with the Millbrook Library.

Cellist
Acclaimed for his stellar stage presence and joyous musicianship, cellist Sterling Elliott is a 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient and the winner of the Senior Division of the 2019 National Sphinx Competition. He has appeared with major orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
In the 2024/2025 season Sterling Elliott debuts with the Atlanta Symphony, Reno Philharmonic, Columbus Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony, Des Moines Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, and returns to the Wilmington Symphony. He joins the Madison Symphony for the Beethoven Triple Concerto with Gil and Orli Shaham and returns to Carnegie Hall with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s led by Louis Langree.
As the YCAT–Music Masters Robey Artist with the London-based Young Classical Artists Trust he will Tour New Zealand in addition to appearances at Wigmore Hall, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and others. This season he also begins his tenure as a BBC New Generation Artist, and a three-year residency in the Bowers Program of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center appearing with CMLSC at Alice Tully Hall and on tour throughout the U.S.
Sterling is pursuing an Artist Diploma at the Juilliard School under the tutelage of Joel Krosnick and Clara Kim, following completion of his Master of Music and undergraduate degrees at Juilliard.He performs on a 1741 Gennaro Gagliano cello on loan through the Robert F. Smith Fine String Patron Program, in partnership with the Sphinx Organization.
